Hi There!
How are you? Are you enjoying the change of seasons? I love the way the landscape here in Western New York is exploding with colors!
Speaking of exploding colors, I have been so excited to have my painting, "The Parrot" chosen to be included in the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society's Fall 2020 Members Water Media Exhibition ! This painting is just like Fall! It is exploding with color and the ink contrast provides just the right touch of drama! Being juried into this show is a wonderful honor for me too.
"The Parrot" is one of my award winning art works. It previously received a 3rd place award in The Buffalo Society of Artists's 2019 Spring Exhibition! Wouldn't it be cool if the painting won another award?!
You can see the show in person at the Carnegie Art Center (240 Goundy Street in North Tonawanda.) If you visit, you can be sure social distancing is in effect. The gallery hours are Wednesday 6-8PM; Thursday 6-8PM; Friday 12-4PM and Saturday 12-4PM.
I hope you can make time to see it in person but if you are busy with work, family, school or other obligations I will include a link to the online exhibition which is "live" now! Look for the link below this note.
Until next time, please take care of yourself, find some fun and enjoy the art of life!
Sue
PS: I am working on a New Winter Landscape Acrylic Set . It's a set of 3, 6" x 6" winter landscape scenes painted in acrylics on linen canvas. These fit together as a "triptych" to form one complete scene but also can "stand alone' as an individual piece. Do you like this concept? What do you think of this so far?
I added a short video below for you to take a look at these pieces in progress. Your feedback will help guide my direction SO MUCH!
